This class incorporates simple ideas and exercises around self acceptance, and acceptance of what is generally. It also includes a relaxation exercise that helps create some space between our felt sense of being and the involuntary chatter of the mind. The class starts with some gently preparation work reminding you that in this practice you don’t have to do any work on yourself here. This is a space where you can just be as you are today.
Physically this class focusses on the superficial frontline of fascia (front body) and is suitable for all levels.
Props needed include:
- A bolster or couch cushion (two if you have them but not absolutely necessary)
- Two blocks (or thick books)
- A blanket (or towel).
Poses include:
- Seiza (targeting tops of the feet)
- Pontoon (Gentle Quads and Hip Flexors)
- Reclined Deer (Slightly harder Quads and Hip Flexors)
- Sphinx (Lower Back, Chest and Abdomen)
- Half Butterfly Wing (Chest)
- Supine Melting Heart (Chest and Shoulders)
